Product Support Service Information Developer – 1:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical engineering with maximum 1 year experience or equivalent accredited associate degree with maximum 2 to 3 years of experience.
- Required Software skills: SGML, Epic editor, Canvas, Coral draw Pro-E/Creo, Vismockup, Adobe illustrator CS3, SAP VEA 8.0, Canvas 9, Canvas 14.
Background Experience:
- Experience in Servicing/ Maintenance/Trouble shooting/Technical writing in Earth moving industry or equivalent. Person worked with Caterpillar machines or systems will be given first preference.
- Candidates with good knowledge in reading and interpreting Engineering drawings, schematics and experience in 3D modeling tools are preferred.
- Self-driven, able to complete the task given with less supervision.
- Good mechanical/electrical aptitude, customer focus, initiative, planning & organizing with good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Job Duties:
- Service Information Developers (SIDs) utilize the ACM (Advanced content management) system to develop and electronically author a variety of service information types used to operate, maintain and repair Caterpillar equipment specific to Excavator, building construction and Earth moving products. Assignments support both new and non-current product design. Service information products that are produced by the Service information developers have significant impact on efficiency and profitability of dealer service operations.
- SID will have continuous interaction with Project leaders, Product design support Engineers and the use of a variety of corporate systems and resources.
