Details Eligibility:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, a master’s degree; or equivalent experience is required.
- We are seeking candidates that are pursuing Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Systems or an equivalent degree.
Job Requirement:
- Experience and proficiency with Linux/Unix environments
- Programming experience: Python, Go, Perl, Java, C, C++ (shell scripting is also desirable)
- Incident Response: Respond to service outages quickly and document detailed root cause analysis for outage incidents
- Basic proficiency with Relational Databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
- Monitoring and Alerting: Contribute to our team’s monitoring and alerting strategy by reacting to existing alerts and creating new ones to reduce MTTR for supported services
- Service Reliability: SREs are responsible for enforcing SLOs as well as monitoring and creating new SLIs
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Experience with Source Code Management tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Perforce)
- Must be comfortable with interrupt driven workflows
Job Summary:
A strong candidate would have fundamental expertise with Systems Engineering and Software Engineering practices and principles as well as an understanding of how SRE can be applied to increase service availability.
